  2. 1/2 kg Red Carrots shredded
  3. 1 tin Condensed Milk
  4. 3/4 cup Sugar
  5. 1/4 cup Almonds slivered

  7. 100 gm Basmati Rice soaked and blended
  8. 1/2 cup Ghee
  9. 1/4 cup Amul Fresh Cream
  10. 1 tsp Cardamom pods crushed

Steps to make to make Gajar Ki Kheer

  1. Bring Milk to a rolling boil on a high heat. After it starts boiling, lower the heat and allow it to simmer. Add soaked Basmati Rice paste to it. Cook on a low heat for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat Ghee in a pan and stir fry the shredded Carrots until the raw smell fades away. Add this to the simmering Milk. Let that cook for a further 15 minutes.
  3. After the Carrots and the rice mix is cooked well, add in Sugar, Condensed milk and Amul Fresh Cream. Mix well. Keep stirring in between so that it doesn't stick to the bottom. After the desired consistency is achieved, add half of the slivered mixed nuts.
  4. Refrigerate it for an hour or two if you want to serve it chilled. Otherwise it can be served immediately with the other half of the slivered mixed nuts sprinkled on top. Also top it with Khoya or Mawa if desired. It tastes heavenly. Enjoy!
