Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Dehrori:

  1. 1 cup Granulated or coarsaly grind rice flour
  2. 1 cup granulated or coarsely grind wheat flour
  3. 2 cups (150 g) jaggery (gud)
  4. 1-1/2 cup curd(yogurt)
  5. 1 cup ghee for moiyan
  6. 300 ml ghee for frying
  7. 1/2 cup sliced coconut for garnishing
  8. 1 tsp cardamom powder

Steps to make to make Dehrori

  1. Take rice flour and wheat flour in bowl and add ghee in it and mix well. Then cover it and take rest for 6 hours for soaking ghee.
  2. Take another bowl mix well jaggery and curd.Add cardamom powder.
    Then add into flour ghee mixture and mix well like loose mixture.
    Let this set the whole night/9 hour for fermentation.
  3. Then next day firstly make jaggery Syrup of 1 string consistency
    Boil water and jaggery together and make 1 string syrup take it off.
  4. Heat pan/kadhai with ghee take a small balls of the fermented mixture and flatten by patting it and gently slide it into hot ghee.
  5. Deep fry the dumplings in ghee on medium heat until dehrori goes dark brown and add this to the jaggery syrup and let it soak.
  6. Served warm or cold in the serving plate garnish with coconut strips.
